Being trained in Austria as a general surgeon gave me the exposure to the whole spectrum of general surgery.
After my qualification in Austria I came to St. Mark’s hospital as a clinical fellow and later as a RSO in 2010/2011 working for Prof. Phillips, Ms Carolynne Vaizey and Mr Janindra Warusavitarne.
Back in Austria I worked as a Consultant in general surgery in the subspecialty of colorectal surgery/coloproctology between 12/2011 and 07/2014 at the Department of Surgery at the Paracelsus University Salzburg, Austria.
In August 2014 I was appointed to the consultant body at Northwick Park/St. Mark’s hospital as a General surgeon with the subspecialty of emergency abdominal surgery.
Being part of the emergency surgical unit I mainly deal with general surgical emergencies, including obstructing colorectal cancer.
My elective work includes hernia, incisional hernia and gallbladder surgery, minor surgery and coloproctology.
My special interest is to improve the delivery of emergency surgical services in the trust.
