Dr Chahal is a Consultant Cardiologist and Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at Imperial College London. He works at London Northwest NHS Trust and the Royal Brompton Hospital, London having qualified from Guy's and St Thomas' Medical School in 2001.
He was awarded a PhD in 2012 for research into early imaging markers of cardiovascular disease, particularly in individuals of Indian Asian ethnicity and has published more than 30 original research articles since 2007 on a range of epidemiological, imaging and clinical areas.
Dr Chahal has accrued considerable experience in exercise and dobutamine stress echocardiography for the assessment of ischaemia and structural disease. He also has extensive training in cardiac MRI and coronary CT angiography which he reports regularly.
He is married with 2 young children. He is a keen sportsman - playing cricket and football for local teams, swimming regularly and also enjoys snowboarding.
