Dr Trip is a Consultant Neurologist and Honorary Senior Lecturer at Northwick Park Hospital and the National Hospital for Neurology & Neurosurgery, Queen Square.
He studied at the University of Edinburgh Medical School and did postgraduate neurological training in London, mainly at the National Hospital, Queen Square. He completed a PhD at the UCL Institute of Neurology which looked at markers of axonal loss and myelination in patients with optic neuritis. He has published widely in leading international peer-reviewed journals.
At Northwick Park, he has general neurology clinics, offers an in-patient neurology consultation service to other clinicians, and provides neurological input to the Regional Hyperactute Rehabilitation Unit.
At Queen Square, he is Co-Chair of the Queen Square MS Centre and runs a large clinic for patients with multiple sclerosis and other related neuroinflammatory disorders but also has a clinic mainly for patients with headache syndromes. He also looks after in-patients with complex neurological problems at Queen Square.
Dr Trip is the senior consultant neurologist at Northwick Park Hospital, having been appointed in 2009. He sees patients with all types of neurological problems and provides advice on the diagnosis and further treatment. He aims to offer a personalised service to local GPs and patients.
