Neurology is the medical speciality dealing with the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the nervous system.

Common neurological disorders include headaches, transient ischaemic attacks (TIAs) and stroke, epilepsy, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, dementia, neuropathy, muscle disorders, motor neurone disease and disorders of vision.

The department has links with the National Hospital for Neurology & Neurosurgery, Queen Square and The West London Neuroscience Centre at Charing Cross Hospital. Whilst most of the investigations and services required for patients with neurological problems are provided on site, occasionally, more specialised tests or services are provided at Queen Square or Charing Cross.
