Dermal Filler Treatment

Dermal fillers are used to fill out the crevices in the skin caused by lines and wrinkles and also to create volume where fine lines, wrinkles and sagging of the skin appear as a result of a reduction in the number of collagen cells (a natural result of the aging process).

The Treatment

Fillers are most commonly used to increase the fullness of the lips and to fill out lines around the mouth and crows' feet around the eyes.  The suppleness and tone of the skin are instantly restored with lines and wrinkles visibly reduced from the very first treatment.  There are a variety of different fillers to choose from and the number of treatments depends on the condition of your skin and the specific dermal filler you have chosen.

A mild anaesthetic cream is usually applied to the treatment area for your comfort and the dermal filler is injected directly in to the skin beneath the wrinkle.  The treatment session lasts twenty to forty minutes depending on the number of lines and wrinkles.

A small amount of redness may occur around the treatment area, but this will normally go within a few hours.  You will be able to resume your normal daily routine immediately after your treatment.

Wrinkle Reduction Treatment (Commonly known as Botox)

The gradual development of facial wrinkles is inevitable; the most common areas of wrinkling include the forehead, the brows and the outer corner of the eyes (crows' feet).

The Treatment

The treatment which is commonly known as Botox, is injected directly in to the muscles that directly effect the wrinkles being treated.  This process takes approximately ten minutes and the effects last for three to four months.

You can resume your normal daily routine as soon as the treatment is completed.
