I am a Consultant Dermatologist and Dermatopathologist at the Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

I am a member of the British Association of Dermatologists, Royal Society of Medicine, Royal College of Physicians, Royal College of Pathologists and European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology.

I hold numerous leadership positions in professional organizations. I serve as a member of the Specialty Advisory Committee in Dermatopathology of the Royal College of Pathologists, UK; a steering committee member of the Hi-Light Vitiligo Trial, University of Nottingham, UK; a jury member of the L’Oréal African Hair and Research Grant; and a Physician Advisor of the Cicatricial Alopecia Research Foundation (CARF) London Patient Support Group. I am also the founder and director of London Ethnic Skin, an organization through which I run an International Ethnic Skin and Hair Conference.

I have edited a textbook on Ethnic Dermatology (Ethnic Dermatology; Principles and Practice, published by Wiley-Blackwell in 2013) and co-authored a second textbook on Dermatopathology (Pearls and Pitfalls in Neoplastic Dermatopathology, Cambridge University Press, to be published Fall 2015). I have also edited a special supplement of the British Journal of Dermatology on “Ethnic Dermatology”.

I have conducted several research projects pertaining to my areas of specialist interests, notably Ethnic Dermatology, and Dermatopathology, and have published in peer-reviewed journals.

I lecture regularly at local, national and international meetings including the British Association of Dermatologists Annual Meeting, European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology, United States and Canadian Pathology Annual Meeting and the World Congress of Dermatology.

I have also been featured on SKY news, BBC radio 4, Sunday Times Magazine and other media outlets discussing ethnic skin and hair issues.
