Professional and Personal profile

Dr Murtuza Khan is a Consultant Paediatrician at the Northwest London Hospitals NHS Trust with a working base at Northwick Park Hospital and Central Middlesex Hospital.

After graduating from the University of Dundee in 1985 he commenced training in Paediatrics from 1987. While initially training in General Paediatrics and Neonatology he subsequently developed an interest in Paediatric Respiratory Disorders and Allergy.

He has trained at a wide range of internationally recognised centres of excellence in childrens care, including: Alder Hey Childrens Hospital (Liverpool); the Variety Club Childrens Hospital at Kings College, London; Guys & St. Thomas's Hospital, London, and The Hospital for Sick Children, Gt Ormond Street.

He has presented at the international meetings of the American Pediatric Society, the American Thoracic Society, the European Respiratory Society and the British Thoracic Society as well as publishing articles in their respective journals.

In addition to his current clinical role he is also the onsite Central Middlesex Hospital Undergraduate Teaching Coordinator for the Imperial College Medical School, London and also an examiner for the University of London and Imperial College.

Bringing nearly 20 years of paediatric experience of which six years as a consultant, Dr Khan can be contacted for private consultations at TrustPlus, Northwick Park Hospital.
